As Managing Director of Education and Training, Mindy develops, reviews and edits educational programs for GFMI’s clients. GFMI delivers highly interactive, hands on instructor led training for which Mindy develops practical case studies, exercises and power point presentations. She oversaw the NASBA approval of GFMI’s instructor led courses and subsequent NASBA certification of GFMI as an approved sponsor, enabling GFMI to offer our clients CPE credits.

Previously, Mindy had a 13-year career with New York Life Insurance Company, where she worked in the Investment Department. Starting as a fixed-income investment analyst covering the utility sector, she moved over to the portfolio management group where she was as a member of a portfolio management team directly responsible for managing over $35 billion in fixed-income securities. Her direct responsibilities included managing $4 billion of fixed-income assets backing various life, health and annuity products. She specialized in the analysis, trading and management of investment grade corporate bonds, mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, Treasuries and Agencies, actively allocating assets between broad market sectors within the specific liability constraints.

Mindy achieved her CFA designation in 1991. She holds an MBA in Finance from St. John’s University in New York, New York. She also holds a B.A. from the State University of New York, Cortland.
